ARC-Addington Fund

The Arthur Rank Centre set up the ARC-Addington Fund in March 2001, at the request of the Archbishop of Canterbury, as the Churches' response to the Foot and Mouth outbreak.

Since its inception the Fund has distributed over £10.3m at an administrative cost of less than 1.5%.

While administering the financial grants it became apparent that many rural businesses are no longer viable. What are the prospects for those involved, particularly if they are tenants? As farming incomes have plummeted, house prices have escalated. The Strategic Rural Housing Scheme addresses this need.
